Well Cottage is only 3 miles from the Roman town of Cirencester with its Roman Amphitheatre and Corinium Museum.

We are on the Thames Path, and only two miles from the river's source at Coates.

We are on the edge of the Cotswold Water Park which offers the opportunity to fish, sail, swim and enjoy beautiful walks or cycle rides.

Equestrian pursuits are well catered for in the area. The famous three day events at  Badminton and Gatcombe Park are close by and Polo is played regularly throughout the summer at Cirencester Park and the Beaufort Polo Club at Westonbirt. National Hunt Racing at Cheltenham and Newbury and Flat Racing at Bath are within easy reach.

The National Arboretum at Westonbirt, which houses one of the most spectacular tree collections in the world, is only 12 miles away.

There are many excellent places to dine out in the area and we are within 5 minutes walking distance of a well known pub which serves both bar and restaurant meals.
